Yes, all residents will be required to sign a lease in order to protect themselves as well as Redstone Family Housing.
If you do not fulfill your lease term, i.e., move out before your lease expires, you will be held responsible for a lease termination fee equal to one month's rent and must also provide the office with a 30-day written notice.
The lease is a standard resident agreement used by all privatized military housing and conventional (civilian) rental properties. Residents are required to sign a lease in order to reside in housing. The lease specifies the rights and responsibilities of resident and Owner. The lease also sets the service member's BAH as the monthly payment to Redstone Family Housing.
Yes, military members still have the option to use their BAH to rent a house or apartment off base. However, we hope that our homes and service make it unnecessary to consider this option.
Yes. For civilians there is a non-refundable $50.00 application fee for the lease holder, plus a non-refundable $10.00 fee for each additional occupant over the age of 18. For active service members there is not an application fee.
For both civillians and service members there is a non-refundable $125.00 holding fee to reserve a home.
We are pet friendly here. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee that covers up to two pets per home. Breed restrictions do apply, so please inquire about what is allowable here on-post.
Additional fees may apply.
Housing at Redstone is available to Active Duty Military, Retired Military, Military Reservists, Federal Government Contractors and DOD and Federal Agency Civilians.
